Newborn photoshoot - when you should do it (fotografia bebes)

When to do such a photo shoot? How should you dress? How to prepare the house? I will answer all your questions!

Many parents choose to do a newborn photo session - it is a wonderful and unique souvenir that can be created in a very short time, it is very fleeting.

When should a newborn photoshoot be done?

Personally, I'm not fond of taking studio photos where the baby is wrapped in a cocoon or dressed in a mini chef's outfit.

I like natural, skin-to-skin photos, everyday activities, reportage of what you do around the baby, hugs, kisses, feeding and carrying in your arms.

I prefer to take such photos until about day 15 after birth. That's when the baby is still doing many fetal positions, has adorable skin and makes typical newborn faces.

What do you need to wear during newborn photoshoot?

As always - you are supposed to be comfortable. Let's not dress like a wedding, unless it is a reportage of preparation for a christening.

Wear some light, homely attire, let's take some photos in a plain T-shirt, some in just a bra and some skin-to-skin. Let daddy also dress in loose, comfortable clothes - after all, you don't dress up a diapers in a suit on a daily basis, right? Let the colors of clothes be neutral - white, beige, light browns, black.

The baby should also be dressed in neutral colors or pampers alone.

Where to take photographs of your baby?

I usually take photos in the bedroom, living room or children's room. It's important that the room has plenty of natural light and the space is tidy, with no scattered toys or used diapers. I take photos in the first half of the day - at least 2h before sunset.

Newborn photoshoot - when you should do it?

The earlier, the better. It is best to plan while still pregnant. I like to know the planned date of childbirth - then I'm able to save space for photos at the right time.

What to prepare for the newborn photos?

Prepare light-colored clothes for you and the baby's baby. Organize the space - put away unnecessary items, put a plain bedspread on the bed. You can bring some toys in neutral colors, prepare a bottle if you are not breastfeeding. If you want photos while breastfeeding - prepare a suitable bra, if you are not ready to pose without one.
